Prime Engineering is a multi-disciplinary civil engineering design and consulting firm with over 30 years of combined experience in engineering, land development, and regulatory approvals. Prime's principals and founders, Jaclyn Peranteau PE and Marc Pilotta PE, are licensed professionals with a combined experience of over 30 years in civil engineering. Their dedication to their profession and successful record of accomplishments in engineering design, project management and construction speak for themselves. Prime Engineering is licensed in over 7 states and maintains an active presence in many local engineering and industry related organizations.
Member ASCE, EJCLI, DPCLI, LIREG, LIBI, WEDLI, NYSSPE, NSPE. In addition, it should be noted that Prime is a New York State and New York City Certified Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE).
Mr. Pilotta is experienced in providing civil consulting and project management services for a variety of clients. He is a results-oriented, hands-on professional, with a successful record of accomplishments in civil engineering, land development and project management. Marc graduated from Hofstra University with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and currently maintains Professional licenses in New York and Connecticut. He has over 19 years' experience in engineering design, land development, project management and construction. His experience includes management of large and small size land development and renovations projects, design, permitting and installation of petroleum storage and distribution systems, construction observation, specification compliance, and quality assurance.
Marc is active with LIBI & LIREG organizations and currently serves as treasurer for the NYSSPE Suffolk Board.
Ms. Peranteau is an industry leader in the civil engineering profession with over 16 years of design and permitting experience in the Long Island and New York Metro areas. She is a self-motivated engineer and consultant dedicated to her profession. Jaclyn has successfully managed multiple project accounts through the design and construction process. Her core experience has been with commercial developments. More specifically her experience includes site planning and zoning analysis, storm water management plans and permitting, drainage analysis and design, sanitary pump station and disposal systems, and ADA compliance work.
Jaclyn graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a BS in Civil & Environmental Engineering and a Minor in Architecture. She currently services as President of the NYSSPE Suffolk Chapter and Vice President of the Woman Economic Developer's of Long Island. She is licensed in 8 states (NY, NJ, CT, Mass, MD, VA, PA, NH) and was recently named 2014 Long Island Business News Top 50 Woman in Business.
Jaclyn continues to work with many nonprofit organizations (including Stony Brook University's External Advisory Board) to mentor and cultivate the engineering profession and to educate young students.
Director of Engineering
Mr. Zapolski came to Prime Engineering from the Town of Islip, where he served as Commissioner of Planning & Development. He has over 25 years experience with strengths in urban planning, national retail development programs and engineering design of high-end residential, commercial, industrial and educational land development projects in the Tri-State and New England areas. More specifically his experience includes pre-application Planning and Conceptual Design, Urban Planning, Multi-Dwelling Residential & Senior Housing Land Development, Educational/Institutional Land Development, and Traffic/Roadways Engineering Design & Improvements.
Rich graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and also received his Master's Degree from Manhattan College in Civil Engineering. Rich holds his professional engineering license in New York and is active with the local Chamber of Commerce and other professional organizations.
