DSWDeer Park, NY - Town of Islip

The project consisted of a 25,000 SF building addition and redevelopment of a 12.1 acre site.  Our work included preparation of site civil plans, including the design of a 240 stall parking lot, 1,500 LF drainage culvert, onsite sanitary pump station and septic system,  and grading & drainage design for the site parking lot area.  Site drainage consisted of onsite drywells, as a means for pretreatment of stormwater, prior to connection to a proposed drainage culvert which conveys stormwater from the surrounding town roadways and subject site to an adjacent creek. 

AbleOur office prepared stormwater calculations including a hydraulic analysis of the Town's roadway system and onsite stormwater volumes.  Drainage design also incorporated use of landscape swales and rain gardens to provide additional storage volume and pretreatment.  Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans and calculations, interior hazardous material storage tanks, and an equipment wash bay system were also part of the design work for the project.

Services also included submission to the Town Engineering Department and SCDHS Wastewater and Office of Pollution Control Departments, as well as construction administration and observation services.
